Re-occurring Themes

Ripped from tufted and skutir--because they got me thinking, and so I had to figure out what motifs I use all the time in my writing, and now of course I have to post them (and then I have to go to sleep because the evil GRE is tomorrow. blah).

So...

-the power of language, words, and story-telling
-discovering the fallibility/flaws of authority figures (usually when the main character is a child/teen)
-weather (temperature, precipitation, wind)
-family bonds and influence
-mythology (personal and public)
-taking responsibility/control
-plant/nature imagery
-loners

Interesting. I'll figure out what it all means when I'm more awake.
