Woot!

Finished my new outline for Possessing Lucy today. I may have to do some revising to it as I write and see how things play out on the page, but I think it's already a lot stronger than the original. Character motives are much more coherent and consistent, in particular. And the tone should be a lot steadier (I had some members of my writers group comment that the first three chapters of the first draft didn't fit together very well, and I can see what they meant, looking back).

My final task for today is to write up an index card of reminders, mostly character ones, to keep in mind as I'm writing, e.g., "Lucy should act ____ with everyone except ____." And tomorrow I think I'll start actually writing the second draft. Here's hoping it works! ;)

Congrats and good luck! (ahem) And it's "w00t", possibly a contration of "wow, loot!" in the leet jargon. ;)

Woohoo! Congrats on the progress. It's neat to hear how your process works (or at least, how it is working for this book).
