somewhere i have never travelled,

1750 words.

Keep having different thoughts about how I want the novel to come off. Keep reminding myself that there's no point in getting metaliterary on it until it's at least got a draft to show for itself.

Am very tired. Excuse my incoherency. Should probably have come home earlier but was having much fun. Thankfully did not become incoherent until after leaving.

Finally saw Whale Rider (one of my friends vetoed it the last time). Am a total sap. Was near tears in at least ten occasions. Became sap after first time falling in love but clearly the condition is steadily worsening, despite no longer being in love. Nevertheless, good movie. Cannot believe it's the first thing I've seen in the theatre since The Two Towers. Cannot believe all the movies coming out have been so crappy that I haven't wanted to go since then.

No, actually, can believe that.

Afterward went to my first open stage poetry night thing. People were very very friendly and I enjoyed listening to the poetry even though it and I do not always get along. About halfway through started wishing I did still write poetry so I could get up there and read something too. Am tempted to come back with my two to four year old pieces just for the heck of it. Am definitely going to find a place that allows fiction. "Seven Years" would fit in five minutes quite nicely.

Best thing, though, was being about to talk about writing and books with people who actually care about that stuff as much as I do, in person. No offense to you guys *hugs friends list* but I needed that.

Am now going to stop babbling and sleep. 'Night.
