Things that are making me happy

-I just finished reading THE YEAR OF SECRET ASSIGNMENTS which made me laugh out loud several times (and it's rare for a book made me to do that even once!), and now I must track down everything else Jaclyn Moriarty has written.

-Ani Difranco announced new tour dates including one in my city, and I scored a second row center seat half an hour ago. :D

-Yesterday I found a bag of one of my favorite kinds of chips (which hardly any store seems to carry any more)--Miss Vickie's Lime & Black Pepper. Yum!

What's making you happy today? :)

Being less than 30 pages away from finishing POSSESSING LUCY for the second time. Sorry I was such a slacker!

Just got your e-mail! Thanks so much! And no worries--feedback is helpful whenever I get it. I know you've had a lot going on. :)

Yay for Ani--and SECOND ROW??? WOW! How did you manage that?
We're going to see her in NYC in Nov...i have such a girl crush on her!

I managed it by sitting at the webpage five minutes before the ticket presale started, and reloading every minute until the order screen showed up. :D She only comes by here once every two or three years so I want to make sure I get the best tickets possible when she does! You must get to see her lots in NYC! :)

I won Pam Calvert's PRINCESS PEEPERS!

Oh, and Dr. Pepper. :)

Now I want a Dr. Pepper.

And peepers.

This is me being very jealous of your ani tickets. :)

Aw, I will cross my fingers that she comes your way soon! :)

Did Moriarty write THE MURDER LIFE OF BINDY MCKENZIE? Her name sounds familiar...I liked that book okay, though I didn't really like Bindy. Oops.

I'll look for the one you mention, though -- I love funny :) (Probably because I struggle with it so in my own writing!)

Yep, that's the same author. This one has a fair bit of romance, too, so I think you'd like it a lot!

Oh (and to answer your question), I went to the library today. That always makes me happy! (Plus, I also won a copy of Pam's book -- yay!)

Loved YEAR of SECRET! And MURDER OF BINDY McKENZIE! Couldn't get into The Spellbook of Listen Taylor, though.

Sarah MacLean's THE SEASON is making me happy!
Sep. 11th, 2008 01:43 am (UTC)
Yeah, I read SPELLBOOK when it came out and was so-so on it. But I definitely want to check out the BINDY MCKENZIE book and also FEELING SORRY FOR CELIA. :)

Cannot wait to get my hands on THE SEASON!

My favourite Jaclyn Moriarty is The Betrayal of Bindy Mackenzie, but I think it's differently titled in countries other than Australia.

Have a lovely day! :-)
