GHOST news!

I mentioned yesterday that I got to thank Justine Larbalestier in person at BEA--what I was thanking her for is the wonderful blurb she has given GIVE UP THE GHOST:

"Megan Crewe's GIVE UP THE GHOST is a beautiful debut that deals eloquently with bullying, loss, and how to cope when your only friends are ghosts."

(Because of limited space on the book cover, she also gave a shorter one for there: "A beautiful and moving debut.")

My first response when I found out was something inarticulate like *squeeeee!* :D I've been a huge fan of Justine's ever since reading MAGIC OR MADNESS shortly after it came out (back then I subscribed to Booklist, and I remember reading their review of MoM, thinking it sounded like an awesome premise, and adding it to the top of my to-read list. And it was even more awesome than I hoped!) so it was an honor even to have her read GHOST.

As I also mentioned yesterday, I've already read Justine's newest book, LIAR, which should hit stores just a couple weeks after GHOST in September. Let me just say, start reading it when you have a nice block of time, or you will find yourself neglecting responsibilities and missing appointments because you absolutely cannot stop reading until you get to the end--it's so gripping and full of twists and turns.
