Truth in my fiction

Today I’m guest-posting over at Fodder For Fiction, where I talk about how real life helped shape the writing of GIVE UP THE GHOST. With a snippet of a flashback for illustration!

Read the post here.

I’ll be checking comments there and here. :)

There are many things that I loved about this book but one was how Cass decided to fight for the ones that wouldn't. Yes, perhaps it wasn't causing the popular kids to change their ways but at least there was someone standing up and saying no. Cass was victim of female petty behavior, yet, unlike other YA books I've read she didn't allow herself to be picked on or coward against them. She stood up for herself, not always in the most productive way but still I appreciated her gumption.
