It's done

All 243 pages of it. Signi numero one, draft two, has been graced with a "The End".

*lets out a big, long sigh of relief*

It's going to sit a week or so while I fiddle with a couple of short stories, then go through the line edits. Should be ready for anyone wants to read in, oh, two or three weeks. :D

In other news, now have two shorts in 'maybe' land. Always nice to know an editor likes your work enough to pass it on, but always makes me extra impatient to find out the verdict, too.

And this weekend I'll be meeting with most of the members of the writing group. So much looking forward to that. I should have done this a long time ago.

But for now, in reward for all my hard work, I think I deserve to go cuddle with the boy. ;)

Three weeks and I'm there...
I should just be finishing finals about then and will be ready, pumped, and primed for critical duties. Beyond that, my plans for this welcome winter break include locking myself in my room for a month and writing a novel, surfacing only for oxygen, food, and the occasional social obligation.

I really want to prove to myself that I can get one done with a looming deadline.

Good luck to you! I'm sure you can do it. :) You just won't want to go back to school afterwards.

Damn this writing addiction.

Yay! Isn't it nice to be done? I love being done. Done done done :) ::makes her a cake::

Can I be one of your first readers? Cuz, you know, I'm one of your editor fangirls.

Oooh, cake! I didn't know I had fangirls. Yay me! ;) You can most definitely be one of the first readers. I'm going to want all the feedback I can get.

And yes, it is amazingly wonderful to be done.
