Finished the first draft of Bad Luck Boy today. It's very rough and very plain, but I have the whole lump, and it's in approximately the right shape. Next will be the really fun part--carving it into something a little more like art.

But that will come later. I'm hoping to start the final Signi edits tomorrow, with the tentative goal of having the first three chapters and a query letter (if not more) ready to submit to agents by the end of the week. Overall the comments I've gotten suggest that the changes I'm going to have to make will be fairly minor (mostly stylistic and nudging plot and characters). The first few chapters, though, may need a major overhaul. I'm a little nervous.

*takes a deep breath*

Here we go.
